[1-3 Super Mario Bros. 3 Redrawn]

For some odd reason, i always liked seeing the shadow effect even when there's nothing behind those metal blocks.
Maybe it's part of that "theater play" aspect of SMB3.

The way how it's like a piece of a larger city floating in the air makes it seem like a level being selected in a menu.
Like a preview of a level from the level selection menu showing a vague idea of the level design and theme.
