@EyeBallTank According to the video you linked to, the song was Japanese. You could try and ask the Audio forum, giving the thread a title that summarizes the situation and includes the words "Japanese song". We 'do have' some Japanese users.
I thought a forum like that was for stuff people make here and for their personal projects.
Whereas the song I tried recreating is one that existed elsewhere, unrelated to NG and my stuff.
@EyeBallTank You might have a point there. I see a lot of posts being made but I do not notice which ones get deleted since I'm not in the forums too often.
I once participated in a 'What's your favourite cover song'-thread ( https://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1539187 ), so there might be some leeway. In doubt, you could contact a Forum Moderator* and ask them "Hey, is it okay if I open a 'Can anybody remember this Japanese song?'-thread?"

For additional reference: 'This thread' seems to be okay with the Forum Moderators (it's been there 6 days):

I 'think' I get what you're trying to say but as long as the artist is still alive, it's probably not exactly "lost" media*. If you are too close to the original, they could even DMCA strike you. ;)

I'm not even sure if the artist is alive because I also forgot the potential proper spelling of the name.
I also associate "lost media" with something that can't be found again and has a chance of not being saved.
If nothing else, I'd stop refering it that way if it is found, even if I could be doing the same mistake as typical Zoomers and Youtubers.
