I wonder what those screenshot accounts get out of this. Do they plan on getting a bunch of followers and selling their account? Do they get revenue from their posts? Do they get a kick out of showing slightly edgy basic bitch memes to "normals"? Excuse my ignorance, but I try to limit my time on social media besides 4chan and Newgrounds these days.
People like the aesthetic of a 4chan post because they know it's a "cool edgy site" but don't want to delve too much into "actual chan culture".
I do think there's enough 4chan screenshots posted online for years for these accounts to use, they'll just run out of "cool" opinions and have to rely on something different.
Maybe a less popular opinion that some guy has been saying for years, so when a screenshot of it is posted, he'll go "I was saying this for years but nobody cared".
I also know that 4chan archives like b4k and Desuarchive seem to still be up.
